Digital Literacy Nov 19th - 23rd

This week in Digital Literacy, we'll be finishing our Digital Story presentations: Abby, Alicia, Cassidy, Devon, Eric, Ethan, Kira, Megan, Meghan, Quinn, and Terra-Mae will be presenting.

We'll also have eportfolio time to add our reflections for our Digital Stories. Your reflections should include:
  • How did I do?
  • How do I know?
  • What might I think of next time?
Please upload your Digital Story to the homepage of your eportfolio (or at least upload the powerpoint file).

You will be earning your first digital badge for completing your Digital Story if:
  • DS has sufficient visuals and balance of text
  • DS shows who you are in some depth--we get to know you better!
  • Speaker presented to class, was prepared and spoke clearly/well
  • DS was uploaded to eportfolio homepage
  • A reflection (see 3 questions above) was posted to your eportfolio (Communication page)
Early dismissal week!

Done? Check out our "Teach Me" Project Page here.

Thurs Nov 1st: Your Major Technology Project (InfoTech)

Guess what? It's time to get started on your Major Technology Project in InfoTech 9.

First of all, figure out what you might be interested in trying, and why (possible career, interest/hobby, solve a community problem, try something new/exploration)

Step One: Your first step today is to find inspiration of someone or something that's a great example of what you'd hope to accomplish. See videos below for examples. It could be a photo or website, too. Post this INSPIRATION to your blog, and say why....

Step Two: Second step is to write Ms. T. Malloff a cover letter explaining your project. You'll see the template in the Gr9 Shared Folder on your desktop. Print ONLY when you've spell checked and got the address right!

When it's approved, post the outline to YOUR BLOG.

Then, you can PLAY with the idea, try some stuff, and get your brain wrapped around how your project might work...how cool is that?
